Camotes Island: 2019 Travel Guide

Situated in Central Visayas in the Philippines lies another marvelous island called Camotes Island. The island comprises with three major islands and one minor islet divided between four municipalities. This four capital towns are Pilar, Poro, San Francisco and Tudela.

Also known as the “Lost Horizon of the South”, this tourist destination offers travelers great beaches, natural caves, lakes and falls that will connect you to the raw beauty of nature. All of these will leave you in an awe as you go home after visiting the place.

A view from above. This isn’t from other country, it’s from Philippines. Camotes Island specifically.

Things To Do In Camotes Island

  • Scuba diving, free-diving or snorkeling
  • Attack the beaches and enjoy under the basking heat of the sun; (Santiago White Beach, Tulang Diot Island and Mangodlong Rock)

Crystal clear beach at Tulang Diot Island. If you want to stay for the whole day prepare 500php/$9.77 for the cottage rental; 150php/$2.93 for table with 4 chairs; 150php/$2.93 for tent space for overnight, make sure to bring your own tent

Environmental/Entrance fee: 10php/$0.20

Awesome Mangodlong Rock located at San Francisco, Camotes Island. Few things to do in here and I love the octopus slide that will end up direct to the ocean! You can do snorkeling and kayaking in here too.

Entrance: 50php/$0.97

Santiago beach is one of my favorite. It is free and the sand is so powdery. So playful and is really great for the family to enjoy especially in summertime.

  • Do the island tour which include Lake Danao, Camotes Baywalk, Busay Falls, Bukilat Cave, Paraiso Cave & Timubo Cave
The beautiful Busay Falls. It’s not a long cascading one like other falls but its water is simply majestic.

I don’t have a better photo on other destinations but sure thing they are worth your time to experience it on hand. Showcasing one of the best island, Cebu could ever have.
